Job/Department Summary:
Working independently, under general supervision and broad guidance from the Director of Faculty Affairs and Success, the incumbent maintains currency in all Faculty Affairs guiding documents, including the Unit 3 and Unit 11 Collective Bargaining Agreements, the Faculty Personnel Policies and Procedures (FPPP), CSU Chico Executive Memoranda and policies and technical letters, and is responsible for working collaboratively with campus departments and programs and the Chancellor's Office (CO) in the implementation of complex and highly technical processes. The incumbent will provide recommendations to the Vice Provost on related academic policies and practices based on CBA provisions and Chancellor's Office (CO) communications and assist the Director in implementing existing policies and procedures in accordance with these provisions and communications. The incumbent serves as the faculty data expert to internal campus systems and Chancellor's Office. The incumbent serves as the key technical contact for University business processes related to faculty and academic student employees. The incumbent serves as the Faculty Affairs Campus Configuration Administrator for the Common Human Resources System (CHRS) Recruiting Platform and is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and supporting training of all academically related modules of the CHRS system. As a work lead for the Faculty Workload and RTP Specialist and the Recruitment Specialist, the incumbent provides oversight over far reaching campus-wide academic personnel matters. The incumbent provides support to all of the academic Administrative Analyst/Specialists (AA/Ss) and academic Administrative Support Coordinators (ASCs), directing, training, and providing expert and technical guidance to ensure compliance with all operational Faculty Affairs related policies, procedures, and agreements. The incumbent reviews and approves Unit 3 lecturer appointments and faculty personnel transactions for half of the University's colleges/units as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Relevant education and/or experience which demonstrates acquired and successfully applied knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
AND
Four years of relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferences:
Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
- Knowledge of human resources, accounting and student information/registration tools, e.g., CHRS, PageUp, SoftDocs, Cognos, Insight, OneSolution, ChatGPT, Qualtrics, CMS and Python.
- Experience working in an environment that includes both represented and non-represented employees, including exempt and non-exempt employees of a 501c3 auxiliary.
- Knowledge of Chico State FPPP policies and procedures and Unit 3 and 11 Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Pay Plan: 12/12
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm
CSU Classification Salary Range: $87,408 (Step 1) - $127,332 (Step 20) per year.
