The Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs is the university's Chief Academic Officer and Senior Vice President. The Provost/SVPAA provides intellectual and academic leadership for the university’s educational mission. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing all areas of Academic Affairs currently comprised of seven academic colleges, Continuing Education, Graduate Education, Undergraduate Education, Library, Office of the Provost, and other programs and centers. The position is responsible for providing oversight and management of Academic Affairs complex budget, personnel programs, faculty affairs, strategic planning, and implementation. The incumbent will provide leadership in the planning, development, assessment of academic programs, and oversight of all academic and research initiatives at the university.
The incumbent is responsible for building institutional capacity for multi-year planning while creating clear and transparent processes that align strategic, academic, and operational planning, resource allocation functions, and managing a complex budget of over $130 million.
