The Student Health, Counseling, & Wellness Service Budget Analyst (SHCWS/BA) works under the general direction of the Senior AVP Student Health, Counseling and Wellness Services to strategically plan and manage the division’s fiscal resources in a manner that supports attainment of campus and divisional goals and objectives.
The SHCWS/BA serves as the lead for budget projections and planning for the division, this includes providing direction, training and constructive feedback to nearly 65 staff members in various departments throughout the division. The SHCWS/BA provides input and direction on fiscal matters, and oversees a complex divisional budget with input on expenditures for various departments with a combined budget of ~$18M from several sources (health fees, facilities fees, grants, interest income, endowments, trust funds, etc.).
The SHCWS/BA is responsible for working with the Sr. AVP determining the division’s processes, procedures, and practices for monitoring and reporting on a large multi-fund budget. To accomplish this, the SHCWS/BA works closely with Senior Associate Vice Presidents to strategically allocate limited resources and meet the financial obligations and needs of the departments they manage. The SHCWS/BA also works with department directors and their staff to ensure fiscal resources are administered in a manner that supports the strategic goals of the Student Health, Counseling, and Wellness Services.
The SWCWS/BA serves with the Sr. AVP as the primary contact for the division on fiscal matters with the University Budget Office, Procurement, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and financial services areas of University Enterprises, Inc. to develop and implement the division’s processes, policies and practices for expenditures, revenue generation, fees, and other financial processes comply with the policies of the CSU and University.
The SHCWS/BA collaborates with the Academic Affairs Director of Business Operations and Resource Analyst for cross divisional resource planning for faculty assigned time, and various funding transfers. The SHCWS/BA also researches and analyzes financial and employment data and prepares related reports for the Senior Associate Vice President of SHWCS, and Director of Student Affairs Business Operations, and others as determined

The ASR contains the current security and safety-related policy statements, emergency preparedness and evacuation information, crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information, and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains statistics of Clery Act crimes for Sacramento State for the last three (3) calendar years. Paper copies are available upon request at the Police Service Center located in the University Union.
