Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Enrollment Management and Student Systems, the incumbent is responsible for performing various administrative and analytical duties to aid the office of EMSS and its campus partners in tracking project and program progress, enrollment data, as well as documenting new and existing business processes.
The incumbent will maintain and support tickets and requests for to the Student Success Management System (EAB) software. The incumbent will also gather data in order to prepare reports on all services provided on behalf of the EMSS office. The incumbent will make recommendations to the Director of Enrollment Management and Student Systems on business process improvements to help streamline services to students provided by the EMSS office.
FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime compensation)
Anticipated Hiring Range: $3,518 per month, anticipated hiring range is at the minimum of the classification salary range

The Enrollment Management and Student Services unit, in support of the mission and core values of CSUS, makes it a priority to understand the student experience from prospect to career and ensures each student has a well-informed and positive educational journey by reducing administrative barriers, ensuring the integrity of student records, using technology to support student services, and providing proactive communications to create positive long-lasting student experiences.
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
Experience
- Experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Admissions, Records, Registration, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Veteran's Affairs, or related student service functions in a college or university setting.
- Experience independently researching and resolving problems.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- General knowledge of the principles, practices, and trends of the Student Services field.
- Ability to gather data and analyze complex situations accurately and adopt or recommend an effective course of action or improved business process.
- Ability to carry out a variety of professionally complex assignments, exercising sound judgment when necessary.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a various stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills in person, via email, phone, or web; ability to maintain composure and professionalism.
- Ability to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures, including Admissions, Records and Registration, Student Accounts, and Financial Aid.
- Experience with gathering, compiling and analyzing data from a multitude of databases.
- Knowledge of Common Management System (CMS), Data Warehouse, Tableau Dashboards.
- Experienced in Project Management methodologies and software tools
