Under the direction of University Bursar, the incumbent serves as the module lead for the Bursar’s Office in support of the Common Management System (CMS) for the Student Financials and Common Financial System (CFS) Finance-AR/Billing Systems. Additionally, the incumbent has responsibilities in support of the additional systems such as Transact (formerly Cashnet). This position requires the analyst to take primary responsibility for the oversight of all activities related to the maintenance and ongoing campus support of the department systems. The analyst performs complex, professional level duties in the analysis, evaluation, design, development, testing, documentation and maintenance of computer system applications specific to the functional needs of the department. Provides support to end users on the use of applications. Produces a variety of standard and ad hoc reports, and provides strategic analysis and advice to management related to the departmental systems and their support of office functions.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $5,022 - $5,273 per month, commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
- Relevant experience in performing complex, professional level duties in the analysis, evaluation, design, development and testing of systems.
- Knowledge of secure file transfer processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent business and technical writing skills, including the ability to document process and data flows.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Windows based programs, and Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis in Excel.
- Experience working with/in university financial departments
- Functional knowledge of PeopleSoft programs, with emphasis on Student Administration and Finance.
- Experience with the California State University’s Common Management System (CMS), PeopleSoft Student Administration and Student Portal.
- Experience with Transact (formerly Cashnet) Cashiering Software.
- Ability to provide lead work direction to others.
