Under the direction of the Director of College-to-Learner, Academic Programs in the College of Continuing Education, the Program Recruitment & Retention Specialist is responsible for planning and developing student recruitment and retention efforts across the large and diverse portfolio of programs in the unit. Experience with the content and format of educational offerings in undergraduate and graduate degree programs, especially working with learners seeking professional updating, mid-career training, and life-long learning. The EESI will manage the Lead Inquiry Management System for all undergraduate degree programs within the Academic Programs unit, lead correspondence with third-party lead management vendors, lead the development of information sessions for degree programs in the College of Continuing Education. The EESI maintains relationships with academic departments to ensure consistent communication and the smooth delivery of currently running and newly developing programs. The EESI is responsible for working with university departments, internal administrative units and constituent groups. The EESI works with programs through multiple delivery formats including face to face instruction, online learning or hybrid education.
CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,493 - $6,395 per month
Hiring Range: $4,493 - $5,919

The College of Continuing Education (CCE) has been offering workshops, courses, certificates, and degrees to adult learners since 1951. The Academic Programs Unit (APU) offers a variety of self-support educational programs, including youth programming, undergraduate degree completion programs, graduate degrees, certificates, credentials, workforce training, and essential community education programs. Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of the procedures and practices in educational program and curriculum planning; resources of the campus and the surrounding community; and the processes required to plan and construct academic programs and course outlines. Ability to determine needs for new or revised programs; plan course hours and credit; develop course outlines with instructors; locate instructors and to assist them in understanding and completing contract arrangements; develop budgets and analyze costs; write promotional materials and to develop a variety of promotional techniques; represent the CSU system to the community and develop working relationships; manage logistics of providing classes; and maintain cost information and records.
Equivalent to two years of experience in planning classes or programs in a specialized field or area, preferably in higher, extended, or adult education. Experience developing resources, budgets, and marketing plans for educational programs and in acting as a liaison with the community is desirable. Teaching experience in higher or extended education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with courses in adult education and curriculum planning.

10. Ability to independently initiate plan, organize, prioritize, multitask, and coordinate work in a fast-paced organization with competing priorities and distractions.
11. Experience recruiting and hiring instructional staff.
12. Experience with standard office software programs, internet research tools, and databases for customer relationship management or program planning and delivery.
13. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT:
