The Department of Construction Management at Sacramento State is designed for students who enter professional practice immediately upon graduation. The CM program and teaching methods are therefore practical in nature, providing hands-on experience for students through labs and class projects. Graduates of the CM program enjoy an excellent reputation among regional employers and many move quickly into leadership roles on large projects. The CM program enrolls 400 undergraduate students, offering a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management with a minor degree in Business Administration.

The Mechanical Engineering Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of System Dynamics and Controls at the Assistant Professor rank. The Mechanical Engineering department serves approximately 930 undergraduate students and 80 graduate students, which include 73 percent students of color, 31 percent first generation, and 41 percent underrepresented minorities. The department offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree programs in Mechanical Engineering. In 2021, the Department was ranked 15th in the nation among non-doctorate granting institutions by the U.S. News & World Report. These programs emphasize practical applications of engineering principles in the areas of design, manufacturing, materials science, aerospace, energy, and thermal sciences.

Three (3) tenure-track assistant professor positions to begin with the Fall 2024 semester. Applicants specializing in all areas of computer science will be considered. However, those with knowledge/skill in computer networks, operating systems, OR computer architecture/hardware are especially encouraged to apply as the department has an urgent need to meet student demand in these three particular areas. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field required by the time of the appointment.
