This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Equity & Belonging/Dean of Students and is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and management for all aspects of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), the SEAS Affinity Programs (GANAS, PIAA, Sankofa), and the Renaissance Scholars Program (RSP). The Director manages the day-to-day operations of the advisors of each program and is responsible for developing strategic short and long range goals for the departments; providing effective training, ongoing supervision and evaluation; assuming all departmental fiscal and resource management; seeking grant funding opportunities and submitting proposals to supplement services and activities; establishing collaborative relationships with Academic Affairs and other Student Affairs programs and departments to develop partnerships, services, and activities which support student retention and graduation; and providing direct student service delivery. The Director ensures compliance with all federal, state, local and CSU regulations, mandates, and policies governing the operation of the department. In addition, the Director establishes consistent application for technology enhancements to improve service delivery and assumes ongoing assessment of student academic performance. |
